A little bit about this photo. Its of the Maroon Bells in Colorado, one of the most photographed place on the Western slope of Colorado. I begged my mom to go with me; we got up at 3am on Sat and drove 1 1/2 hours to get there at first light. When we arrived there must have been at least 10 other photographers already there with their spots all reserved. We set up our tripods and had to use the time release and move away from the cameras because the sun was directly behind us and we didn’t want our shadows to get into the shot. If you look at the bottom in the water you can see the shadow of the tripod. I thought for sure someone would comment about this.

Thanks for everyones comments and suggestions.

Well that is one of the most beautiful photographs I think I have ever seen! I can't believe you only got five tens on this one. Frankly, I don't know how anyone could have given you anything less than a ten.

I know how hard to control the lighting of the upper and lower part of this type of image. I think you did a great job and very deserved placement. Congrats.

Stunning photo. Very well captured - the lighting is perfect and the placement of the land in the lower right really anchors this shot.

This is gorgeous, but I don't get the sense of driving. Perhaps hiking in the mountains would have been a better title. None the less, it is a gorgeous photo. It would have been nicer if the sky was as blue as it is in the reflection of the water.
