I'm going to give this go and see if I can make fifty days.

Today's image is a fitting start as we say goodbye to our old friend Bonnie. This is number two of three vehicles that have died while in the care of my son. Bonnie seemed to have died on her own, while the other two suffered more directly at his hands.
Oh well, the friendly people at junkmycar.com are happy to come and carry her to her final resting place. She's been sitting in this spot for a while now, so the neighbors may think we have moved....

Bye the bye, dead car number three is presently parked at his apartment complex waiting for her turn.

Second by the way:
A friend just gave me a cokin filter system with nine different filters and the adapter ring. Very cool, but that's why I shot this with my 100-300, since the ring only fit this one and I wanted to try the polarizer. I'll have to get a 52mm ring for my normal 18-55.

This shot might have been a bit mundane without the story behind it (says the king of mundane!!!!) but know the history then it just makes me laugh and is a great slice of life.

You know what you should do with this...Take it down to the place where you were firing all those guns and use it for target practice!!!

My brother did that to my parents' cars. Went through two cars and a truck in the space of maybe a year. Ouch.

Good-bye, Bonnie. May you rust in peace. (I'm so sorry. I couldn't resist.)

Thanks. I don't have a recent pic of dead car #3, but here it is from a while ago. And yes, that's the car killer jumping there. (pre-marine corps days.
