Nice wide angle take on a black and white. I like the black and white with a direct nonday sun; great balance to the composition without being too symmetrical; this shot might work with a limo in front, or a hearse.

Hey! I've been here and I've shot this! Long ago... Maybe 1976? 1978? Anyway, this is beautifully post processed. It's not easy to make backlit adobe look so natural and still so luminous :-)

Fantastic image - love the perspective, use of shadows and placement of the sun so it is just barely in view.

This brings back memories of when I was a kid, learning about the missions in California. My great aunt lived in San Juan Capistrano and we would go visit her often until her passing. It was always something to see the old mission there. Interestingly enough, the missions in California were built far enough away from each other that it would take a day's walk to reach the next mission.

You have captured this mission very nice. I like the tone to the image, the reflection and the way the sun rays are visible in the top part of the picture.

Thank you for bringing back the memories of the missions, and of my great aunt.

Strong and dramatic composition. It looks like you went for symmetry, but dit not quite get it right. Still like it a lot!

Good symmetry, sun on the top center, clouds, and scene.

I might prefer this with the sun cropped out, but I can definitely see the merits of including it. Top notch tones in this beautiful scene. Great photo!

Very Ansel Adams (aside from the fisheye, of course). I really like the sepia choice and placement of sunburst relative to the center cross.
