Taken on the rocks at Pt Cartwright. The lighting was particularly boring, so the edit was a lot of work...

Straighten horizon
Dodging on the rocks and waves
Colour balance to boost the reds
New layer to increase saturation for the scenery. Masked faces and bodies back to original saturation layer.
Crop and resize for web
Burn in the lower corners to help frame the image.

Framing is great - the only thing I would do is consider removing the ship on the horizon.

The rest is really good and I'm sure she will be impressed with your undoubted talent.

oh my GOSH what a wonderful photograph! your dodging and burning in the rocks was done very well but the picture has such a wonderful background that it takes away from the impact of your wonderful happy kids. I would suggest a vignette of sorts by just darkening around the kids in a circle, definitely focusing on darkening the sky. That will make the lightest part of the photograph your children and they will catch your eye very quickly. I also think it could use a teeny bit of saturation boost as well. Great shot! i know your wife will love it!

I think it is delightful and does a good job of showing their personalities. From the horizon down everything looks great. I would just suggest trying to darken the sky center and left. It overpowers the nice light areas around the children/rocks and draws my eye there quickly.

Otherwise, looks superb and I'm sure she will love it. IN fact, I'm sure she will love it regardless of what you do with the sky! ;)
