Actually, aside from painting a lot with the brush and erasing when combining, I didn't do a lot to this image... I DID make sure the light was the same so maybe I won't get hammered for that...

Editing steps:
Open Image 8782 and Image 8761
Resize me (8761) to 900px on longest side
Move to dragon
erase around me until I was happy
Transform so I would look like I was actually sitting there
blank layer painted hilt of sword used outer glow
blank layer painted blade of sword used bevel and emboss
blank layer painted star on end of sword outer glow again
blank layer painted chain mail on me used outer glow
burn makeup so it is darker
merge/flatten image
smudge a bit on my dragon so he looked more "real"
blank layer painted clouds on and then erased around edges, dragon, me, and through them some to soften them
USM
resize
Neat Image
Sharpen
Save for web

Image 8761 (me) was shot with the following settings:
Aperture: 5.6
ISO: 100
Shutter Speed: 1/30s
Zoom: 45mm
Image 8782 is below in picture details :)

Gosh I hope this doesn't take tooooo badly... LOLOL

Well I thought this was a wonderful piece of fantasy art and I swear I wouldnt mess with you...you look like a cross between Boudicia and the defender of the faith

Ace PP and those that voted 1 2 and 3 have - imo - got some issues going on were they cant differentiate between great photography and personal taste

Aha, no prizes for guessing whose image this is. :) Nice editing work, but the lighting is a little harsh and contrasty. Some extra sharpening or smooth HDR adjustments would help this image a lot. The sword is quite hidden from the angle - might be better to hold it more vertically.

i wish she wasn't sitting on a toy. I know it's hard to do other wise but pictures of toys turn me off. that being said, the editing it very good :)

It would have taken a lot of work but it would have been a great benefit to you had you been able to make the dragon look less like a figurine. That aside everything else is good. You match the lighting and the color and clarity give it pop.

This photo has a very cool composition. The idea is superb. The only thing I can see that could be improved is that the wing closest to the camera is out of focus. Other then that, great photo.

I enjoy this idea, I believe this is more methos/fantasy than sci-fi. Here, I would really enjoy if the images came together more smoothly. The dragon still looks like a sculpture and there is something odd going on behind her head. I do enjoy the blue/black background, however, it isn't consistent the lower left corner is different.

More subtle lighting might have made it more exotic.
OR even more glare and harshness.
As is, it's in the middle somewhere and just misses being effective.

i think if the dragon looked as realistic as the woman this would have been much better. more convincing.
it's a nice attempt though and the blending is good.

The dragon doesn't work for me (with its happy face) and wouldn't this be fantasy rather than Sci-Fi?
