 The sunset was the subject in this photograph dramatically offsets the rest of the photo, which is dark foreground at the bottom. This sunset photo was especially beautiful because of the complex cloud formations. The rock that is silhouetted is "Best Rock", one of several sea stacks that make up the Orford Reef which rises from the Pacific several miles offshore from Port Orford, Oregon. I was somewhat surprised the photo came out as sharp as it did, since I had the zoom lens at its 200 mm max. Converted from RAW and cropped with Nikon's NX software and sized in Photoshop.
