It's a plug. Not too exciting.

I've been doing a lot of these macros for this challenge, and I think one of the things I'm learning is to really look at what I see in the viewfinder. The focus, composition, how the object works with the background... and just what is back there!

For this shot for example, the brown is a wooden window ledge. I moved back far enough that it was nice and blurry, composed it diagonally across the frame, and THEN put the plug into the shot, put it at 90 degrees from the line of the wood and focused it (yeah, all hand held too... I really need to work on that tripod thing).

Well the plug may not be exciting but the image is pretty awesome. Especially considering that our plugs bear no resemblance to that one. It's quite interesting to see how some really ordinary things look so different in different parts of the world.

I like the crop if this macro composition, and the color tones work a treat here.....

The border is a little action I put together... becoming force of habit to use it if I feel like the shot needs a border I suppose.

excellent depth of field choice, as well as sharpness of the image. the composition is good, too, but i would go with a solid border instead of the gradient.
