My daughter Jessica, forever waiting with baited breath for me to ask her to pose. Had to un-submit from the macro challenge in order to do this one. I hope it was worth it.

Neat idea. For me the cloth backdrop hurts this with the wrinkles, maybe if it were further back and blurred out it would help or if it were say black and out of focus. Just a few thoughts, anyway very sharp and good exposure control, great idea! 6

Nice color, clarity, and content but for composition in this challenge a little more of the bg would be better imo. Great technicals and nice blue eyes.

Youe need to move the model away from the background in order to take a shallower DOF. (the goal being to not show the wrinkles or texture in the backdrop,)Great idea and fits the theme well.

You could have improved this by positioing her away from her background, that way you could use a shallow depth of field to blur out the background and minimize the shaddow

I love your idea, the girl, the hat, the composition. However, the background is no good :-( Try putting more distance between your subject and the background, and use a large aperture to blur the wrinkles.

Fit Challenge Criteria: 0/2
Contrast/Color: 1/2
Composition: 1/2
Photo Quality: 1/2
My Subjective Affinity: 1/2

This photo does have negative space, but there is no impact in it at all. The only real impact is the subject's blue eyes. The white sheet needs to be whiter, and the red hat also lacks the vivid colors that would really make that stand out.

this is a cute image and good for the challenge, might do a bit better if the backround wasn't a sheet.

Cute! Next time, I would move the model a few feet away from the backdrop.
