I knew I recognized the model. Love the background.

Love the action captured in this photo, lighting is good too.

sweet shot. Love the BG & lighting. 9

Fantastic shot, one of my favourites from the challenge. Good job freezing the action and I love the vibrant yellow back ground. A very profesional looking job. 9

Great job in stopping the action. I like the background color but think image would have been better with more even lighting all around so that the right half of the image was better lit and if the girl wasn't wearing a print blouse, which I think is too busy.

Excellent, my favourite of the challenge.

Really cool! Love everything about this photo

There's definately movement, and I love the background. But I'm a little confused as to why there are roses flying around her head. They seem pointless there to me. I think I would personally prefer there to be no roses. There is great movement in this shot without them, and they dont really add anything to it. My only other complaint would be the dark side of her face. Wish there was a bit more lighting there. Otherwise, focus and clarity are great. And the angle and placement of the subject are great as well. ~Heather~

One of my two 10s for the challenge -- this is just super! Simple, yet full of fun, energy and color. Way to go! I can't imagine this not earning a ribbon.

Beautful portrait overall. I absolutely dig that yellow. The expression is perfect. the only minor comment would be to somehow make sure that the right arm, which is a focal point of the shot,is sharper or more focused. But that is nitpicking. great shot.

I like the image but not the colour and the title
I think this would have worked better with out the roses
The girl and the leap are great even the yellow would work then but why the roses and the title Oh well at least its an interesting image.Great focus and very sharp

góður!

Nice flashy background color. The model is not bad too :)
The movement seems not real to me. Is she really jumping?

aww this is top notch stuff. The yellow mixed with her dress & flowers make this brilliant. Something about the composition leaves me hangging though...perhaps too much emptyness on the left side, or perhaps it's becasue of the dimensions being squarish..can't put my finger on it...

Also a little more light on her sid wouldn't be a bad thing, it's quite dark on her left.

Will start with an 8, but no doubt return with a 9 tomorrow ;)

The photographic equivalent of juggling - get the woman and all the flowers in the frame before they fall. Nice lighting, sharp focus and good exposure.

wow... what a fantastic picture!!!! This is my favourite picture of this week. I hope I´ll see it in the top 10. 10

awesome shot for the action theme. Perfect composition

A lively studio shot. I like the vivid background, the mid-air pose of the model, the flowers and the colour balance between foreground items (dress, tights, skin, hair) and background. I think lighting could be better - more even coverage on the background and a touch less shadow on her face.

Interesting. Colors aren't my favorite perhaps - but I think the main thing is that troubles me about this one is that my mind wants to know "why?" I was sort of expecting to see ice/skates or something. The expression on your model doesn't give me any clues, either.

Great colors, makes for wonderful contrasts! I love the expression on her face. Very fun picture.

Nice shot... I think I might just recognize this model. :-)

The roses add a special touch and the choice of BG color brings out the rest in the photo quite nicely. The only thing I keep saying to myself is... I wish the roses wouldn't be so close to the model. :-)

Very creative, fun to look at submission. It takes Action in the sence of stopped Action, which is OK to me. Like the background with its gradual change of brightnes, as well as the light on the model. Not shure if a different crop or format would have been better though. 8 from me.

Nice capture, I like the yellow background and the roses, really nice photo...good job!

Nice kiwiesk type shot. Excellent colours, action, focus...well done could be the best this challenge
01/05/2004 02:49:04 PM
Excellent focus and good shutter work. The only thing I question is your lighting. Which seems off with half her face dark

Nice image. 9. Morgan

More of flying roses would have made this more interesting I think. But I can forgive that. I don't know about this moment ... it looks to me that the model has some kind of look on her face that does not say "ahh the roses" if you know what I mean ;) But great idea -8

Wonderful! This should do very well.
