This tiny flower bud is about the size of a pin head - nature is a wondrous thing, the closer one looks the more there is to see. The plant is an ordinary stinging nettle and those spikes are the stinging barbs, they are much finer than a human hair.

It took a 60mm micro lens and every extension tube I've got to get close enough for the "Tiny-bud"!

Beautiful!!! I love the metallic shine on the bud. The size of a pin head you say? It's amazing how it's so difficult to tell the real size of things when you make macros.
