 I saw this girl when I was walking around the Texas Folklife Festival. As soon as I saw her, I thought she would photograph well, so I asked her if I could take her picture. You'd have thought I had just offered her a modeling contract. She was so proud and kept wondering why I would want to take HER picture. I just love a chance to tell young girls who think they are plain that they are beautiful, and that I would be proud to have their photo in my portfolio. I could tell it really made her day!
