 A ping pong ball on a white surface. Window light to the left, tungsten light overhead and silver reflector to the right.'Overexposed' in the RAW conversion.
This was one of the hardest shots I've done, trying to avoid hotspots that I knew I wouldn't be able to protect in basic editing. Probably harder than it looks;) thanks for the comments everyone.
Rino, I composed it like that because I liked it, I focus shots like this manually, so I wasn't influenced by focus points (or the rule of thirds;))

thanks for your answering, I have evaluated your composition as compositional error but if your explanation become before the contest vanish I go in up with the vote. congrats for your average and the good final position.

very good white on white, the composition could be better with the ball a bit on top or a bit on down. My idea is that perhaps in this photo there isn't a crop and the position of the ball is that for the camera autofocus points.

The white on white really makes it difficult to distingush the ball from the background. Good control of white balance and lighting

Lovely minimalism and abstract. This would have looked terrible had it not been executed perfectly, fortunately is was executed perfectly, it meets the challenge wonderfully and feels almost zen. Should be in a frame on a wall somewhere

I'm halfway through the challenge, and this is the first "pure" abstraction. I've been waiting for it, and I'm not disappointed. Beautiful, controlled work.
