I think the composition is lacking slightly, I would prefer the surfer on the right hand side of the image so he would be moving into the photograph. Where he is positioned it looks like he is moving out of the frame especially as the front of the surfboard is copped. However a great capture that I should imagine was difficult to get. 7

Good action shot. I wish the subject were a little more in focus. I realize it's an action shot, but I think it would have been just as good as a "stopped motion" shot. It would have still shown the movement and could have been a bit more in focus. i like how the surfer is silhouetted. Nice touch. ~Heather~

This is certainly action but there are a few things that bother me about it. The water aspect is good, and with these type of shots I know that you can hardly control them so these are just some suggestions about what could have been 'better'. The frame crops out the front of the board which gives it a disjoiinted feel, and also slightly unbalanced with the space on the right. The surfer looks odd, it doesnt look like it's a silhouette but you cant see his face and he just looks like a black form of a man, very unusual.

Great contrast between the water on one side of the surfer and the surf on the other. The angle really gives a feeling of movement and action.

The water is nice, the surfer looks like a statue to me. I guess it's because he's so so dark...??
