Shot outside in the sun, 580EX off camera fired for fill flash. RAW Conversion to high contrast, and increased exposure to an over-exposure. Converted to BW using calculations, then adjusted levels (extreme) to give a very high contrast; followed by some dodge and burn. Adjustment layer to bring out detail in eyes. Very slight blue tone added, opacity of that layer reduced to 15%

One of the better portraits I've seen in this challenge. The eyes just pop (was this due to post processing, or just how you captured it?). The over-exposure doesn't bother me, in fact I think it helps the image.
