this is the result of me and beau screwing around out in the yard for about an hour. gotta love those studio lights. i showed him these two shots:

because of time constraints, he chose to go for the arnit shot.

after about 30 minutes of me throwing gallon buckets of water at him, he said, "hey, dad, i think they had 3 people doing that other photo..." rather astute young man. yes, it took a bit (well, a LOT) of tries, with the camera timer on 2 seconds, to get the timing down. got a lot of great outtakes, and actually had a tough time picking an entry.

post was rather straight forward: cropped, usm, desatted the blues and cyans to make the background less visible, then slightly adjusted the levels and curves to make the water pop and the background fade. after what happened to jj, i hope i did this the right way :/

I see.
I grin.

So what did it cost you? My son would have needed a bribe.

I love the extremity of the splash, like he is being obliterated. 7

I don't know what church this may represent, but I will say that I was glad that I was baptized as a baby lol.

It would have been sooooo much better if the face had not been totally obscured!

well, the motion blur seems to have distorted any facial features which would have been nice to see just a tad.. The concept is a bit of a stretch for the challenge topic, but I get the idea.. Looks like it was a fun shoot.. 5 for me. :-)

this is an awesome shot....not sure if the image (not just the title) fits the challenge, but I like it. I will vote a 9 for the photo and -2 for not clearly meeting the challenge, = 7
