I have read the previous comments about the cropping, and I have to disagree with the majority. By cropping it this way you have focused the eye exactly where you want it to be. Wonderful use of negative space as well. Beautiful shot, you should be very proud of this one!

I don't normally care for bird photos at all. This one grabbed my attention so much that I came back to comment - SMILE!

I LOVE the crop you've chosen - SO REFRESHING! Beautiful angle, love the hue of the tail feathers against the water, the light underneath is nice too.
