PS. My Title refers to the fact that factories produce things that make life easier, but do they make “life” easier.
This photo was taken in south central Utah, just outside Page, at Lake Powell. This coal power plant is not responsible for all this pollution, but add it to 10”s of thousands of other factories in Nevada and California, and you have what it looks like here for about 350 days of the year. You might be thinking, its only one lake in the middle of nowhere. Zion National Park, Grand Canyon NP, Canyon lands NP, Arches NP, and Bryce Canyon NP, it all looks the same.
PP. Saturation of color( BTW added Saturation) crop, resize, sharpen, save for the web.

An excellent choice for the challenge! Says a great deal about what we're doing to our planet.

Great shot Alan - including that focused foreground really works, really points up this great wall of smog cutting us off from the background vista.

It's a shame isn't it? To see these two together... Good catch.

This photo has great meaning. I may have drivin past this same energy plant last summer. The photo would benifit from more contrast as it would eliminate that hazy look.

This reminds me of a power plant in northern Arizona. Too bad it wasn't taken on a clearer day. Playing with the contrast some may have helped.
