 Every 17 years, the Chicago area gets swarmed by these guys, or at least places with a lot of trees get them (like forest preserves..). My little boy got the heebeegeebees from them, so I didn't get much time for taking all that many pictures.

This is a very nice photo. I really like the background, and the cicada is perfectly placed. I had no idea that they were so colorful! The oranges and blues are vibrant.
