 Nathan Phillips square is transformed into a colorful sea of lights around Christmas. The area where the fountain is at other times of the year becomes a skating rink.

Shot with a tripod around 6:30PM, Dec 3rd.

Post processing: crop, resize, color saturation adjustments, usm, border added. I should have removed the bench in the foreground but I figured I'd just leave it there.

Very good shot of our beautiful City Hall area. I like it a lot. I know how hard it is to get this shot without any major glares. There are so many lights there during winter.

The colours in your shot are amazing. You managed to avoid the greenish cast the lights from the arches normally make. I like that you included the people in your photo, as it makes it come alive.

I also visited your website. So nice to see many great photos of our wonderful city. Thank you for sharing them. I'll be checking for updates so keep it up.

Very clear and crisp shot with beautiful colors! Composition is good too. Only the yellow of the rink may be a bit too saturated and overexposed but that's a nit. I like this photo alot. Well done.

I like the colors in this. Good job focusing. I also like how the light in the rink lights up the two skaters. I just noticed the other ghosts of skaters. Well done!

Really nice colours here, good subject too. Only thing is the blurs in the skating rink. I know though that it's difficult to get a decent exposure time with skaters, tried for over an hour myself... 9

These colors and these lines work very very well in this photograph. The fact that this is a night shot, makes it even better. Great job on exposure control, and excellent framing. The only thing that holds me back from a 10 is the foreground lighting. Your exposure was long enough for you to hold a flash and bump the front, which would have added just a bit. Very well done.

great eye for interesting archatecture. Colors are vibrant and decsisionj to shoot at night was good. a black broder would set it off better though.

Beautiful abstract shapes. Captured lighting is very good. Very vibrant colors. I like the added action of the skaters in action.
