Adding to what everyone else said. Context is key here, as was said with a cany dish or something. Perhaps even have a "crowd" of other colored gummies staring at the "body". It would be funny if you could find gummies with actual reactions.

To solve the "blob" problem you could have gotten cookies like teddy grams or gingerbread men.

I think a different title too. First reaction is I usually hate long titles. Simple is best. and I hate the use of "OMG" lol... ahhh acronyms. Maybe simply "They got Bob!" or "Not Again!" Perhaps even something serious to contrast the rediculous like "trajedy" or "dispare"

and of course the technicals would have to be pretty spot on.

If you don't mind me jumping in with a comment, I think there is a problem in that the photo doesn't clearly convey the joke. The foreground figure is a bit of a blob and one has to read the caption and then translate, like, Oh, I guess it's another gummy with the ears or head bitten off.

lol Jon - bizarre! Did the gummy head get bitten off? I think I'd like to see you move your lens back a little to get better focus on the items. The shadow creates some kind of ominous mood. And like Karen said, change the perspective a bit.

I personally think this is funny but my sense of humor does not match what rides with a lot of voters.

I'll critique this based on what you mentioned in the thread.

I think this could have been a great idea for double take. It fits the challenge very well and it has a story. As you mentioned the technicals aren't great and it would need to be in order to do well especially for this subject which many don't really respect unless it's done incredibly well (toys, statues are treated similar).

As Don mentioned you need context to finish this idea. If you can make it look like "Candyland" that would wow the voters even if your technicals weren't the best. Looking at your previous entries it doesn't look like that should be a problem for you.

It is a funny idea, but not "I'd give it a 10" funny. It certainly doesn't offend me, nor would I frown at it. Don't know if it would have struck voters as good for double take in particular. I'm interested to see this idea depicted from a more level perspective with the objects, instead of from above, and maybe place it in some sort of context that told more of the story. Just suggestions, don't know if ultimately they would work or not. Boy, this is a wordy "reaction" - I'll stop now. :)

great concept, but you need a context to make the joke complete. put them somewhere you'd imagine gummy people to be. a candy dish? a gummy forest?
