Took maybe 50 shots of this and found it to be very fun! It's such an odd-looking object when you get down to looking at it closely. I once again placed this on my new cookie sheet and put it near the 'blue window' in my kitchen. I'm beginning to think I need more light...that rippling affect at the bottom may be due to either the rough surface of the cookie sheet, or the unsharp mask, or both. I just don't have the time to try to fix this. Sorry.

Yes, this is the natural color and I took at least 50 shots of this corkscrew, and at times it looked like a spider monster crawling up the page, another image had it appearing as a swimming diver, and yet the final images had this looking like Christ on the cross. This corkscrew is the oddest thing I've ever photographed and I plan on retaking some of the images to show you all what I'm talking about.

Thanks for sharing your story with me Rachel...I appreciate all the feedback I can get on these photos!

looks like a person worshipping in church to me. It's a Rorschach corkscrew! (if someone says it looks like he's about to kill someone, you might want to back away slowly.)

It's funny, I looked at this yesterday and thought that, and then today my husband brought me home an identical corkscrew, since my cheapo old one got broken. So of course I had to tell him about your corkscrew picture. :) Were your ears burning?

OY, I should not comment this late at night. I get a little loopy. This is a really well-done image, very sharp and smooth, and I love the tones. It's not b/w or a duotone, is it; that's the natural color, right? Beautiful.

Cool shot; I see a person coming out of the water as opposed to getting ready to dive. Nice how you've put it in a position that allows people to see it differently.

I've been wanting to buy one of these for ages, just to photograph it.

You've done a great job here, but I'd like to see a bit of that grey cropped off the bottom.

I agree with Sue he dose look like a swimmer preparing for a dive. Seems like the little guys got some hair under the armpits. Nice one.
