Same proccess as Mixed Nuts. placed the diamond directly on the slave flash and used the camera to trigger it. I also put a blue bulb in one of my studio lights.

OK, here's ANOTHER idea I want to steal. (much safer than the visible-beam laser pointer vs. diamond prism experiment I tried a year or so ago.)

Excellent choices, making this a really interesting image, and something a bit different from the norm with these kinds of sparklies. I am jealous, though (not of the diamond, of the slave flash and studio+lighting) :)

I was going to say diamonds are not exactly ordinary, but thinking it over I guess they are. Nice high contrast with those blue highlight's I like it.
