more trees on a hill...
this has to be the strangest looking night shot I think I have taken, you have to love the light of a full moon. :-)
Post: well this shot ends my run O sixes at 8, it was good run, I'll try again. :)
I got a couple comments on how this was achieved, there was no real secret trick on this one. It was a full moon so there was a lot of light available to use and I shot wide open 2.8. There were clouds low on the horizon so they blurred away and made editing the stars differently than the bottom fairly easy. I converted once for the bottom with a warmer color temp to give the feel of day, the top I shot really cool Kelvin temp to get blue night sky. Thats about it, thanks for looking :)

I don't get it, I like this way better than most of the top tens for this challenge.

This is so phenomenal, not the typical nighttime shot, i really like how it looks, very nicely executed, love the composition and exposure, very nicely done, definitely adding to faves, and it should have definitely scored much higher than it did

Well, my D200 buddy, this is a lot better than the score indicates!

You've inspired me - I'll be getting my remote release cord this week, and I look forward to some extended night shots.

Really interessting interpretation of the weather patterns as well as the nice placement of the trees. (Northern California, fog coming in?)

Like the simple clean composition. The stars make it for me.
