Looking south from the steps of the Chicago Art Institute. The colors in the full color version were distracting, and made the blown out upper right look worse.

I love the perspective on this one very much, as it definstely draws one right into the image.....

The neat thing about B&W is it often distills a shot down to it's basic elements. I think it works very well in this shot. I like the casual day atmosphere - people just out enjoying the day.

Nice street scene. I have two thoughts on the blowouts:
1) Can you rescue them?
2) How would it look if you really blew it out? I'm thinking of a shot like this one, where it's almost pure black and white and makes interesting shapes:
