It was totally intentional to show how a Chameleon can blend in its' front hands with the tree.

This was taken at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, which has a "Rain Forest" and "Desert" climate, under a 2-story geodesic domed structure.

I agree with the comments. In the past comments said my photos were too, dark, so I went the other direction. My .TIF files are always more color-correct on the computer monitor.

Overhead lighting is too harsh, which has washed out the colors and details. Try shooting at a different time of day, or use something to diffuse the light.

Can't even tell where it's leg ends! Don't know how you get more contrast with a chameleon, but this image doesn't really "pop" for me.

This looks over exposed to me, I think it would benefit from lower exposure and slightly higher contrast.
