This photo makes me so sad. . .but that's a good thing as far as photographic appeal: it is a testament to the power of your photo. I can literally feel his anguish. I am so sorry this got dq'd. I'm not sure what score it received, but it is so strong. I hope it was well received.
It's a piece you should be very proud to have in your collection regardless of what this particular crowd of people with often excruciatingly strange voting patterns thinks!

Very powerful shot.
It's a shame you couldn't supply the original.

Jonathan, I'm sorry to see you got disqualified. I was hoping you could avoid it. It's a shame you weren't around to supply the original photo, though who knows if that would have done any good. You entered a good photo you can be proud of, regardless.

I thought you did a great job with this photo - the emotion is really carried through well - I just can't believe you didn't land in the top 10, sheesh, why people always vote for the same old crap is beyond me...sorry mate. |

I enjoy looking at this piece i can almost feel what the main subject is feeling. the composition of the image is dark as well as the feeling the subject is portrain. However i wish i could see more details in his skin and in his face. Over all i like the shape of the main figure and the emotion captured. |

cool yet scary looking... like an old abstract painting or a shot from a 30's silent movie... 9 |

Great expression and I think you pulled this off well. I'm not sure how much I like the effect of the noise but I understand the choice. |

very nice artistic rendition and graphical treatment of compressing the tonal width to yield a solemn effect. Bump. |
