 This is Brainard Lake at 10,900ft. It is one of the beautiful lakes in the Indian Peaks area of the Rocky Mountains. We had to walk over a few snowfields to get to it, almost 2 miles from the where we had to park the car. The last time we hiked this area was 20 years ago. We had our English springer spaniel "ARTHUR" with us then. He was quite the trailblazer. As we approached the Pawnee Pass switchbacks, he went ahead and slid on his back down the snowfields like a seal. He had all of us laughing at him. Arthur was with us for 14 wonderful years. We miss him and our German Shepard Tasha (14 yrs as well) very much. It sure was nice to go back up there and reminisce about him and all of our hikes together with him and Tasha.

I might be able to oblige a commenter on showing the original before the post b/w process. Very busy with yard and garden work right now.

Interesting, if you were to look at my top 4 voted on images...they are all B/W. People are going to think I have no concept of color.

This looked like it was going maintian to this score from the begining.

then it took a dive down to 5.84 and worked its way back up a bit very slowly.

I am probably a small minority, but I have difficulty rating any B&W photos higher than a 5, when today’s photographic technology makes vivid and vibrant color so easy. This would have been better in color in my humble opinion.
