I still totally enjoyed this photo. I guess my photographic "eye" isn't what it should be, from what is written in the comments here, but for an all over pleasing photo, and one that I thought better than it was ranked... to me it is still a 9

| I love the use of shallow depth of field here. I just wish it were a little sess shallow, so that the mud were in focus as well. |

I love this photo-journalistic photograph. Your setup is outstanding and the DOF couldn't be improved on. I love the way the flower is so definitely the main focus of the picture...until you see the look on the little girl's face and realize that this is a gift to you from her... and she is so pleased to have been able to do it for you.
Outstanding job!!! And if this little lady is your child... she is adorable!!

| I like the bokeh, just wish you could see a touch more detail in the muddy mug behind the flower. Great colors. |

| The idea here is so perfect! I love the wet muddiness of it all! I just wish that the blossoms were sharper to anchor the image. |

| DOF is too shallow, at least the whole plant should have been in focus. halo around the blossoms distracts |
