This is the last and final image, in this "30 Day Black & White" series of photos.
I have choosen one of my origional colored DPC print images, called "Gold Leaf", processed it in photo shop, re Gradient Map, to convert to "Black & White".

.....

Here is the origional colored version called "Gold Leaf", which happens to be one of my favorite images in my portfolio, that is, apart from the "Agaves".

I like the strong range of tones in this one. The blacks are deep and the whites are fairly shimmering.

The color one is lovely Shez but I really quite like this black and white version alot. Even without their color, the leaves seem to each have their own personalities and styles!

I really like the color version and was surprised at how beautifully it transformed into black and white. The texture is awesome.

A fitting end to the 30 days. I REALLY love the rich tonal quality. They almost look gilded with metal. (I'm glad it's over LOL)

Yaay Sherryl. A lovely image to end the challenge with, full of the wonderful tonal contrasts that I have come to expect. Many thanks for all your comments and more especially for some of the simply stunning shots you have submitted, Symettry (day 4 and a bit) was wonderful as were many of your textured shots...You are so good at those, my favourite still remains metallica red though which I can look at even now and find myself catching my breath at its beauty
