Great interpretation of the competition idea. The reflections of the light detract from the shot significantly. If this was a flash you might want to consider difusing it some more or moving it to light from one side.
I like the pattern and colors but, the flash hurt you on this one. The highlight on the blue block is distracting. You should try this one again and diffuse the flash.
Perhaps some sort of difuser on the flash might have helped this image to a higher score. Still, I like the construction and the way you have taken something simple and turned it into a good entry. 8
