My first submission after a 5 week DPC break. This is the inside of a watch, taken with my Sigma 105 f/2.8 lens. I tried something new here and gave the image a soft look while keeping the main parts sharp. I'm not sure how this will go down here but it's a try anyway.

very nice composition, soft focus works well, colors warm and appealing - a nice capture

I'm not a big fan of soft focus, but it works well here. Good job.

A very interesting composition , meets the macro challenge but I think you may be able to get a better response to razor sharp clarity of the image ....the soft focus is intentional for this but is distracting ....

Nice... I especially like the variations of gold color.

Nice shot, but my only complaint is noise(?) around the edges of the gears. Might be cause by oversaturation.

Though I don't find this to be a very compelling subject (for me), I love the warm colors and the intricate detail. Lighting is great.

Amazing metal photograph, lighting is excellent! You have given a great soft feeling to the steely clockwork, and the purple stuff gives a nice warm element to the photo, too. I wouldn't change a thing, take 10 and good luck! :-)

Technical: fits the challenge. Exposure composition focus lighting all very good.

Personal: Normally I have a hard time with shots that don't have a single subject to focus on, but in this case it works. The soft focus is a nice juxtaposition with the metal works. I like it!

All around fantastic photograph....Love all the lines taking you in and out of the picture all of which take you to a different place in the photo. Clear crisp image with fine detail right down to the woods grain. Magnificant ! 10 !
