This is a very nice idea, but I think that in order to make your point you oversaturated the blue in the water. Would have preferred the contrast to come from a darker and more contrasty B&W conversion on the shore.

Composition doesn't really grab me. Seems to lack an interesting subject.

Unless I knew this a desaturation attempt, I would have a difficult time recognizing it as one.
