Self portrait time!

Extracted from RAW with default settings, then cropped, resized to 640px, and sharpened. I then took two layer copies, and ran the 'Virtual Photographer - Hollywood' contrast b&w filter on one, then faded 33% onto a -100% desat layer. The final layer I deleted until just the ball was left, boosted saturation +20%, a little burning to get the sky & buildings, and merged all the layers.

I've seen this idea done better before. The illusion is ruined a bit if you've got the camera so obvious in the shot.

Very cool! To be honest, I was turned off by the fact that you are in the reflection but the overall effect won me over in the end. Nice job on a great concept...

I wish what I saw in the reflection was a bit more interesting... no offense to you :)

Amazingly creative - wonderful idea!! It might be cool to see it with a little more contrast and saturation... but otherwise great shot. :)

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to vote low on this one... potentially a good idea, but the obvious reflection of the photographer and house with driveway really ruin this image for me. To me it says either 1.) Lack of inspiration or worse 2.) Laziness. - 3

It's a pity that I can see the camera in the ball. The idea si nice, 6.

Nice idea, but a little distracting background, the white line cuts straight though.
You also should have done it naked "EBay style" ;-)

if you could find a way to prop the ball up on something, and get yourself out of the picture this one has postential. As it is, it's distracting.
