Body paints had to be involved with this :)
The model is Sally, and I really had trouble choosing the final shot (I had about 300 pictures, with about 40 potential candidate shots...)

Editing: layer via copy, desat using channel mixer, then using layer mask to get bits of the underneath layer to show. Flatten, followed by minor tweaking - hue/sat, brightness/contrast, levels, usm.

Btw, here's the outtake:

Creative idea for desat and you captured fantastic gesture and expression here.

The outtake is nicely intimate. I voted this a 6 but the outtake would have 7 from me.

Well, for the technical details it might have been nicer with maybe different lighting or more contrast or something... but otherwise this is beautiful. I love the model's expression and pose. It looks like she was just sitting cross-legged and suddenly burst out screaming with laughter! The butterfly on her cheek adds the PERFECT touch, expecially with the selective desat. It matches her pose and gives the impression her soul is leaping with joy, if that makes any sense... :) Lovely capture.

This is a fun pic! The color comes across well and almost blends in with the pic (as opposed to being too strong and out of place). I love that you have the color going down her neck. Great facial expression!

I think I prefer your outtake, but both shots are exceptional. The blue butterfly is very nice!

Damn I wish I was this good at PP. The black and white blend so well with the color, its hard to notice a difference, then you notice the color and it goes to a different level. WOW.

I very much love the life in this! Nicely done with the whole thing - the paint, the pose and composition, the processing.

I came so close to giving this a 7 and a comment, but I was rushing through and kept it at 6. I did the same thing to Melethia. Darn it!

Cool composition! Lots of great energy.

Her hand pose seems really odd to me.

At first I thought she was stabbing herself.

I like your idea, and I think your title takes it up a notch, but I think I lose it with the hands, that just seem weird and the lack of light in her eyes. turn her body a little more towards that sunset and things would look a lot better. we have that highlight coming down here arm and across the side of her face but there is no light on her front, it's all on her back

The selective colour seems like an afterthought. Photo doesn't really carry its message across well to me.
