 Well, I tried to conform to dpchallenges standards by entering a rather cliche image.

contrast/curves

crop
resize

The background is a little mottled, but i couldnt do any better in basic editing.

All edits done in gimp, as usual.

Love the idea - Just the contrast is too high so the top highlights have burnt away
