The power line is actually about 30 miles long, straight.

Welcome to DPC. I see this is just your fourth Challenge, and you nailed it! Congratulations. Your score shows that the voters appreciated your take on the Challenge. It's nice to see the desert in its spring coloration and you saw those power lines very, very well. The fence crossing in front was a good foil for the power lines, as well.

in composition, you were perilously close to the 'dredded half n half' composition, but you pulled the horizon just enough below to make it quite effective.

Good stuff. If you had of been able to define the distance point by making the posts more accentuated it would have been much better. Looks like Australia.

Love the colors. At first I thought the horizon wasn't level, but I checked and it's dead on. Neat illusion.

The image is a bit small, but I still like it alot. I'm a fan of very strong lines in landscapes, and the powerlines, the fence, and horizon contribute to give a very nice dynamic to the movement. It looks a little bit oversharpened though.
