Greetings from the Critique Club.
Hi Marco,
Welome to DPC, and congratulations on your 3rd entry.
It looks like you split the voters on this one. The shot has an exceptionally high difference between Avg for commentors and overall Avg. What is clear is that a lot of people loved the shot, and a number felt it DNMC. Some love your DOF, and other do not. On the whole I think the shot scored and palced well in a challenge with loads of excellent shots.
I do like the composition, and balance of the image. There is a wonderful sense of the wave/ripple moving forward slowly. I personally think the blur, and shallow DOF add to this. The diagonal lines add to the sense of movement. The colour and contrast is also lovely, and IMHO is what gived this image it's claim to silky-smoothness.

| I like the composition. It evokes less a feeling of smoothness in me. I think it'd have been improved by cropping out the blurry portion at the top. |

| Great image. I love the rippled texture shown. The color also makes the image a lot more interesting. Good angle as well. |
