This is just one of those Koosh ball variations - it's fun to bounch around and I thought it had some interesting textures and color contrasts for a macro challenge. I just got my 10D and even though my Coolpix 4500 can take much better macro shots, I thought I'd give it a try here. Very little post processing - cropped, adjusted levels, unsharp mask and added the frame.

Technical: fits the challenge. Exposure composition focus lighting all good- I like the placement of the subject, though it's just a tiny bit extreme for me.

Personal: I think a border suits this shot, but personally I'd prefer it if the black border were closer to the outside of the frame.

nice take on an odd subject. way overdone on the border. colour and depth are nice...use of neg space also nice. i have no idea what you'd do with such an object. Pedro
