 Cliché I know and will probably bomb, but I like it :P

Shot at a quiet level crossing near one of the villages I work close to. RAW import and levels/curves in Lightroom then resized and some USM in editor. Lines appear to have picked up some jaggies in the resize but not a lot I could do :/

Hard to get all the alignments looking good, in reality the track isn't level, there's a hill in the background, the posts aren't completely vertical and the kit lens shows off a bit of distortion at 18mm. Sure it'll be commented on, but best not to obsess about things too much :)

Greetings from the critique club. First I'd have to say you met the challenge with what seems to be a common theme for the challenge. I'd say that the symmetry and the desat/B&W conversion worked well for you. I'd liked to have seen just a touch more constrast with it. I'd also have suggested a lower angle. to maybe take a bit of the powerlines out of the composition. Otherwise you did fairly well with the subject matter and the challenge.

Straight to the... point! Nice composition. I normally prefer color to B/W but this one spelled B/W. Love it even thought the railroads are the overdone converging lines subject. ;)

Perfect sky; I looked for a place where I could find wires to balance the tracks I shot, so I very much approve of the symmetry here. Very nice. 9.
