Thanks for all the comments. This pix is from my first wedding and maybe last -- I'm not sure I liked it -- it's a lot of pressure!!!

I've modified the pix a bit if you're interested here's the updated version with the fixes that the commenters suggested...

I think you have done an exceptional effort with this Photo which probably was a god photo befor you edited it.
If was being helpful I would recommend that you Blur your Background more to erase the nasty air vent.
otherwise its spot on.

Cheers.

Looks much better without the vent. Could you possibly do what you did on the left hand side to the right hand side too? This may make the image look more balanced.

I totally agree about the blemishes. Whether they stay or go is very much down to personal opinion.

All in all though, the image is looking top class now! Nice job.

Thanks for your comment. I fixed the messy desat job.

Would you consider a removing some of the skin blemishes? Or would this be noticed?? And not appreciated.

Perhaps you could blur the background more to keep attention on the subjects.

I did removed some of the blemishes from the face and neck. Maybe it's just me, but I like the dark freckles on her chest so I decided to keep them.

I also changed the background a bit. Got rid of the AC vent. I wonder if it still needs blurring or darkening?

Thanks for your comment

Lovely expression! I can practically smell the roses myself!
Desaturation is skillfully done. Lighting is pleasing.
Only quibble, the background is unflattering to the subject.

edit: yup. there are some minor spills on the desaturation...fixable, of course.

There's a few spots that you didn't get the selection or mask quite right, but the idea and the pose are good. I'd like to see the background darkened a bit and some vingetting added to draw your eyes to the subject more.

I don't know how many selective-desat fans you'll find...but I think it works very well for wedding and baby shots. This is a lovely shot with a great subject.
The only suggestions I would make for possibly improving this shot would be to change the background. It's pretty distracting and unromantic. Ooops, on closer examination, I also see a bit of color on her forefinger knuckle and nail, and a bit on each shoulder by the roses. But all that, including the background, should be a relatively easy fix.
