 Here is my Vanessa, took this a few months back never played with it till today. I'm also sporting a new frame I made, kinda copied the 4x5 transparency (Chrome) film border. When I used to shoot with film.

First of all, great portrait, love the off centre feel to it

With regards the border I certainly think it works in terms of this image, you could imagine it being used for a montage/collage of portrait pics of a single model in a style magazine

I like the border -- but even more, I like this striking portrait of Vanessa! She reminds me of a young girl who is very special to me, so I'm naturally drawn to her -- but the composition, crop, technicals are incredible!

i like the softness but there are places where it doesn't really fit because there are spots on her skin that break up the perfect smoothness. I would like to see more texture in her lips.

Great shot! The DOF works perfectly as does the lighting and tonal range. The border is a nice quirky touch. The bokeh is perfectly smooth (I love my Nikkor 85mm f/1.8 too!). There's really not anything I don't like about this picture, good job!

great lighting and post processing (except for the strange transition on her top lip)

I looked at the creamy background and first thought was nikkor 85mm and I was right :)
