The idea is creative and "advanced" yet the colour and levels seem "basic" to me. Perhaps desat the background - probably talking out of my hat here... |

Good, but would be even better if it was a square crop... |

Envious of Stephen King, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child decided to start their own band. Unfortunately, neither of them could sing and the woman they hired died mysteriously on the very day they had booked studio time. It was Lincoln who discovered her. Her door was unlocked... a light on in the bathroom... the sound of drip... drip... drip...
they released an instrumental album.

very imaginative. I like the areas of flowers, hills and sky. They tree just on the right to the right of the door is distracting - maybe better to rid it behind the door. some more contrast or something might bring it the photo more to life. |

The kind of thing one might see on an album cover. Could use a bit of contrast boost, perhaps. Try duplicating the layer and using the overlay blending mode - see what it does. Composition is very good - and definitely gets one wondering what the heck the door and frame is doing there! |

Ah Ha...a fan of the Lincoln and Child Novels? Good choice!
I like the set up for the shot although the over all color seems flat to me? Maybe a up the saturation a little or play with some dodge and burn? |

This is so wrong....where's the black suit?, wrong gun, too heavy...
but clever idea. |
