 Taken with an old Prakticar F1.8 50mm lens mounted (eg. "held") backwards against the lens adapter on my A70. Zero editing except resize.

I'm very pleased with the outcome of this shot. I'm sure there will be plenty of great macros, so I'm not expecting to do particularly well, but I hope at least someone likes it! :-)

This is a really nice coin macro. I often find them a tad boring or uninspired but I really like this image (and it's not just because I am more familiar with the currency!). The clarity is superb, the DOF gives focus on a nice amount of detail and the composition within the frame, with just two corners of black background showing, works well.

Interesting. I love the tones, but I think that having all the plumes in focus would have been more effective.
