I like using Channel Mixer to make the conversion - I can get so many different "looks" - went really high with the red channel this time to dramatically darken the sky (which was originally somewhere between mid to dark in tone). The whitish area on the right is a cloud.

Not really a realistic-looking shot, but I like how I can tweak the processing to get the dark/light impact I want. Realism is only one slice of the big creativity pie. :)

Here's another take, using a Daguerreotype setting:

This is beautiful. The lines and the contrast are both splendid. Very well done indeed!

I like this one better because of the detail and contrast you can see on the building.

There's so much detail and interest to look at here. The enhancement of that amazing architecture is really great. I love the crop and composition, and I love the way the cloud on the right makes it look like a halo of light.

Very beautiful.

I love the fact that you are playing around with different effects of the same (excellent) shot. I still think that the first one is my favourite (Day 9 selective color blend) but this pushes it a very close second. You can say the sky is not that natural but it feels like there is a big impending storm coming. Also the technique you used really sharpens up the image and the contrasts. I like it a lot
