When i saw this, I was sure it was you. I wasn't sure if it was from the tall ships festival or the shrimp festival. Either way...

I like the post processing - the sepia works well.

I like the face, and the interaction between the subject and the viewer. One of the best in this challenge.

Nice capture of an interesting character. Works very well for the challenge too. I'm not keen on the border and I wish his eyes were a teeny bit sharper but you have a cool DOF going on. Back to bump you up to 8.

Terrific capture. Not only the outfit he has on but his expression is outstanding.

The title really works for this picture, I really like the facial expression and his outfits. I also enjoy the tones of the picture. The only thing that is a little distracting is the object in the lower right hand corner. but other then that Great work.

Good b&w tones, as well as excellent clarity. The object in the foreground is tough to past though. Other than that an excellent photo!

While we can't see the cultural event here - the context - you'vereally capture this guys human qualities - his experience at the event he's at. YOu can imagine what he's getting out of it and what he's putting into it. I love the DOF and the detail - just hte right exposure. The object in the foreground is a little distracting.

like the picture, but what is the thing right in front that is blurry? That kinda kills it, if you study the picture. Otherwise, it's very good.

great shot. Top 10, I think. great B & W conversion, great Dof, great focus, great composition to just get the head. The only detraction, IMO, is the OOF foreground element (I can't even tell what it is -looks like it might be the top of steering wheel???). An 8 from me.
