love the facial expression on the pitcher and the placement of the thirdbasemen - but the colors are a little oversaturated for my taste -6

Nice sharp picture. I especially like the player in the background- what is he doing? Blues seem oversaturated, even the metal and nets in the background have taken on a blue tint (at least on my monitor).

Yeah, that's what he's thinking alright.

comp could be a bit tighter, too much negative space on left. After all, you want the focus strictly on the athlete and not the bg. Dof excellent, color excellent, fence line cutting through athlete distracting and unwanted, great texture, good light, emotional value excellent, nice movement, over all even though this is not an "ACTION" shot as the description dictates, this is a good image.

Nice composition to the pic and nicely blurred background too. Well played on that.

However, was it taken through a window or something? The glowing bita on the hedges and the net are a bit of a distraction, but that could be due to the saturation present here.
