yes, my model gets called gay, I defend him, and then I get scolded. I wanted a reaction but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed and I felt it was. Just because I posted in the forum doesn't mean I'm open to any comment regardless of what it says. There is still something called respect.

Perhaps I misunderstood the point of the reaction club. I thought it was about "my" reaction. Should I filter my reaction better? [/quote]

as I said in my PM to you, I found this offensive. overdressed, overdone, whatever is fine as many of the others said. Gay crossed the line. His sexual orientation should not be your consern and not your place to make derrogatory comments about.

Thats a sarcastic "great" by the way not a "great, I'm finally glad to see more gay guys in stairwell photos".

I'm thinking that if I were walking down the stairs and ran into this guy I'd probably wish I took the elevator.

Whoo hoo the 80s is making a comeback lol. I love the pose, love the gaze. The green patch on the lips is a distraction. With his eyes and nice skin, I'd say that the makeup is actually hiding his good looks.

I don't think I'll surprise you this time when I say that this photo has sexual overtones. ;)

That in itself is not bad! No no! My only concern is the connection to the viewer. The technique of the lusty gaze to fake this connection is not only overdone, it's a shortcut.

Now that I've got that out of the way, I like this photo. I mean, it's a little campy, a little kitschy, but it knows what it is, and the composition is terrific, nice angle, nice use of dof, great foreshortened splay of limbs. My only suggestions would be to try different expressions, at least give us the illusion that we might be witnessing a genuine feeling... although I must say that the grim fixity of his pout combined with the odd makeup coloring makes him look like he's abused. That's an interesting effect.

Joe Strummer with make up, I like it! Late 70s, early 80s. Great angle and pose.
