i don't think you went too far at all. you created a great sense of drama here and i like this better than the original. wish my post processing would turn out like this lol.

what i really want to know tho is why you need to be occupied lol.

Just far enough. The contrast is great and there is plenty of texture. Love the tone.

The other color photo was awesome but this really works wonderfully as a black and white photo. The door and the stones was so naturally black and white even when it was in color -- but the way you have processed it here really enhances the texture and old feel of the scene.

ooh, I like this one a lot! THe B&W is great for the subject, and I think the contrasts are good, to my eye, it seems a tad bright behind the door. Nice.

I think you went just a TINY bit overboard The highlights are at the point where they are destractingly bright in my opinion. But I really like the slanted door and this is a shot I think you can process several different ways and experiment. Nice composition

I don't think you went overboard - I like the conversion and the touch of brown in the tone. Given the subject, you may want to try a cool gray tone, too, though I'm not sure it would work better. Glad to see you're getting out and about!!

I don't think you went too far. I think this looks very nice. Could even see it getting more 'radical' with more severe tones throughout.
