Shot at a judo tournament at the Olympic training Center yesterday. I have done lots of photo shoots for the young kids at the OTC, but this was my first tournament to shoot of the seniors. There is alot more action with the Olympic hopefuls...

Hello from the Critique Club

First Impression is OUCH!

Technically, Sharp, a little shine on the back drop, but otherwise ok.

Composition, I would have perfered the shot from a different angle, probably not possible. Could have had a tighter crop.

Editing, can not really tell if you did anymore than desat.

Overall, this reminds me of photojournalism shot, would do well in the local paper.

Best of luck with Olympic shooting, that must be very exciting

Ni1ce shot but tones a little bland which is a shame as it's interesting compositionally.

Ouch. What a drag. This is a cool stop action photo, but I would suggest playing with the camera settins more next time to maybe turn the ISO up and keep the flash off so you don't have such a distinct look of the typical on-camera flash that so many people use as a crutch these days. Even if the noise was increased, with the mono conversion that usually helps make the picture look more realistic and normal.
