I like the negative space alot. The tree breaks up the monotony, too. Dig the blue. |

Awwww. ..my favorite subject! Or one of them anyway! That 50mm lens is awesome, isn't it? It gives you such great shallow depth of field shots. I don't know where you live -- but this looks like Texas.

Love the composition although wouldn't it be great if there were a couple more clouds in the sky? Pity you can't control nature! LOL The cow seems a bit fuzzy/out of focus. Not so sure I like the blue tones, would like to see this in true B&W. |

I love duotones with country shots. It reminds me of the dustbowl times. I like the cow just looking at you with that, "Please don't tip me" look on her face. |

Great scene and composition, just misses with the focus for me - maybe would have benefitted from a tripod. Also the duotone doesn't grab me at all. |

HEE HEE everybody who knows me, knows I adore cattle. The tree jutting up into the sky helps with the height of the shot. I like that it's in portrait and not landscape mode. Hmmm - I might desaturate a touch of the blue, but still leave a hint of it. I like that single cloud too. |

Nice composition except for me too much sky, I think it would benefit from a much tighter crop of the sky especially with the blue duotone, JMO. Hope this helps! |

I am not sure about the blue color tone in this one..... |

I think that the image may have been a bit overexposed in the cows face. I just tried doing another duotone treatment and saw a lot of the detail wash out. In the original shot, was there more detail in the cows face? |Sometimes duotones create to high a contrast in the whites, which is what happened in this one. |
